Malachi Anthony Pennington, Jr., passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was born June 1, 1947 in Hot Springs, AR to the late Malachi and Rose Pennington. Malachi served in the United State Army and later was employed with the Veterans Administration at the John McClellan Veterans Hospital. He was a fun-loving person with a heart of gold, and he will be missed!

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Lewis Pennington and a sister, Beverly Pennington.

Survivors include siblings: Joyce Pennington, Danny Pennington (Vicki), Deborah Swanigan and Karen Anderson (Eric); five nephews: Terrell Pennington (Adrienne), John Swanigan, Roderick Pennington, Curtis Pennington and Corey Pennington; and three nieces: Kenya "Tina" Swanigan, Tiffany Pennington, Karmen Pennington, and special niece, Gina Hinton; nine great-nieces, eight great-nephews; five great-great-nieces and six great-great-nephews; and many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 PM., Thursday, August 16 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors is 10:00 AM, Monday, August 20 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
